My vote depends on your commitment to secure BC's fresh water sources, our watersheds.

 

We are asking for the following: 

1. INDEPENDENT OVERSIGHT: Establish a new independent Chief Watershed Security Officer with the resources, powers, and staff to implement, monitor, and enforce watershed security regulations across the province.

2. POWER FOR LOCAL PEOPLE TO SECURE THEIR WATERSHEDS: Establish Local Watershed Boards in all regions of BC, supported by a new provincial Watershed Security Agency. Together these bodies would build social licence, advance reconciliation, and establish a framework for economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable watershed governance across the province.

3. RESOURCES TO GET THE JOB DONE: Establish a billion dollar BC Watershed Security Fund to fund local and regionally-led clean water initiatives and create good, sustainable, local jobs for British Columbians of all ages and backgrounds in watershed restoration, monitoring, technology, training and education.
