Strawberry Island is located in the heart of the Fraser. This island includes a complex of salmon and sturgeon bearing channels at the confluence of Nicomen Slough and the main Fraser River channel. A cranberry farmer has logged the entire island, built a road across it and is beginning work on a dike that will push flood waters into the Fraser Valley.
